General Role

<p>The Retail Merchandising & Supply Manager is the Product, Market and Supply specialist and develops analyses and merchandising strategies in order to maximise business opportunities and growth potential – while optimising supply and managing product flows - in close cooperation with the Retail Merchandising Director, Retail Team and Paris headquarters (Europe team and Métiers).</p> <p>This position is part of the Retail Merchandising Team of Hermès GB based at Head Office. The main objective of the Retail Merchandising Team is to ensure the correct product assortment in the Hermès stores, in the UK, Ireland and Turkey, in order to achieve sales objectives and deliver the best service to our customers. This position reports directly to the Retail Merchandising Director.</p>

Main responsibilities

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>1. Market and Métier knowledge, with a focus on your Métiers</strong></p> <ul style="text-align: justify;"> <li>Conduct monthly/quarterly analysis to understand performance  - both quantitative and qualitative;</li> <li style="text-align: left;">Build action plans in close collaboration with stores, Retail team and Learning & Development to achieve ambitions;</li> <li style="text-align: left;">Visit stores regularly and work closely with them to analyse customer feedback;</li> <li style="text-align: left;">Visit competition and market to understand trends;</li> <li style="text-align: left;">Work closely with Retail Merchandising Director and Retail Director to develop budget by Métier.</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2. Supply Management</strong></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Manage the replenishment and centralisation systems from our local warehouse – lead actions on this project and propose improvements and initiatives, in order to support stores and adapt to the evolution of the business and store needs;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Be the point of reference on product flows and work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and Store Stock teams to collectively optimise them;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Work closely with Customer Service in Paris to ensure timely delivery and adapt the priorities if necessary for the business.</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. OTB and Buying management</strong></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Propose a buying strategy and support the stores in their freedom of buying to ensure a unique but coherent offer that will answer to their customers’ needs and enhance the store identities, with a good balance between novelties and bestsellers;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Collaborate to the definition of OTB for stores in line within the strategy of the subsidiary and Europe and with the stock objectives set for the current year;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Support the stores in their buy by sharing easy to use tools for Podium, Preview, Reorder and Push offer with control on delivery to come, level of stock and sales;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Coordinate reorders and PSI forecast.</li> </ul> <p><strong>4. Product animation</strong></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;">Coordinate product launches with Training team, Visual Merchandising and Communications team;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Work closely with the Visual Merchandising Team to optimise product visibility;</li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Contribute to the definition of a 360 animation plan with the Retail, Learning & Development, and Communications teams to provide focus and engagement for the sales teams, and increase sales on targeted Métiers; </li> <li style="text-align: justify;">Optimise every opportunity to move stock throughout the business reducing the financial impact of depreciating goods.</li> </ul> <p><strong>5. Métiers & Europe Community partnership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be an active player of the community of Merchandising Managers in Europe;</li> <li>Contribute to the definition and local implementation of the European strategy and create synergies with the Europe team and subsidiaries;</li> <li>Work closely with the Métiers to implement their strategy locally and achieve growth ambitions;</li> <li>Be the key liaison between the Stores and Métiers: share customers’ requests, stores’ feedback and key information, coordinate market visits. </li> </ul>
