General Role

<p>The role is actively involved in the development of watch sale for Hermès Horloger within Hermès Network and Hermès Horloger external network by a close and regular monitoring of sales, stocks and merchandising.</p> <p>The Senior Watch Merchandiser provides assistance to have the best product offer in line with commercial strategy and budget objectives in close cooperation with Watch Director of the region, Merchandising Director, Store Managers and headquarters in Switzerland.</p> <p>Responsible for the commercial development of Hermes watch in China. Develops and implements product strategy.  Maximizes market opportunities, business growth and increases overall product profitability and which also aligns with the global direction and positioning of the brand.   Coordinates with inter-departments to achieve business objectives and ensures the smooth workflow.</p>

Main responsibilities

<ul> <li>Works closely with Watch Director, Merchandising Director and Boutique Managers to formulate and implement product strategy including product assortment, placement / replenishment order, pricing and inventory control.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Communicates the product strategy and story behind the products lines to the retail staff in all boutiques and external doors, and collaborate with them to achieve commercial objectives. Train the retail team to Hermès Horloger (products technicality, after sales service, competitors, …) activating in store training tools (morning brief, in store training, class room training, etc…). Build with the support of watch director commercial development plans per stores based on products & store performance.</li> <li>Drive and monitor sell in / sell out with external retailers – control stock level and offering.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Build a monthly report for the stores, focusing on products lines performances, stores performances and considering customer’s profile</li> <li>Prepare buying assortment and merchandising strategy for stores by monthly and for each podium / W&W.</li> <li>Evaluate sales associated watch knowledge during monthly training activity, identify needs and well organize the local trainings.</li> <li>Monitors and analyses product performance and sales trends by monthly.</li> <li>Analyses market trends, identifies current and potential market opportunities by conducting market research and competitors’ visits by monthly.</li> <li>Works closely with VM team to ensure an excellent in-store display and window display of products is maintained by carrying out continuous store assessment.</li> <li>Spends time in stores providing advice and direction to sales team, collecting feedback to analyze customer needs as well as monitoring effective execution of product plans in all stores.</li> <li>Provides technical advice and helps Boutique Managers with alteration claims, repairs and defective products.</li> <li>Assists management in preparing the seasonal and annual budgets.</li> <li>Visit continuously external retailers and build strong relations with clients and shop staff</li> </ul>


<ul> <li>Bachelors Degree preferably in Fashion, Business or another related field</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years’ applicable retail merchandising experience</li> <li>Knowledge in watches is a real plus</li> <li>Good commercial touch</li> <li>Proactive.  Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and foster teamwork with multiple levels/departments within the organization</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Excellent organizational and analytical skills</li> <li>Fluent in English and Mandarin.  French is a plus</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office is required, especially in Excel & PowerPoint</li> <li>Ability to travel as required</li> </ul>
