General Role


<p>Hermes Singapore is currently working to transition its Supply Chain into a new Distribution Center in Singapore. The Senior Logistics Manager (SLM) is responsible for working within the subsidiary and region to develop and drive the transition plan. This will include qualifying suppliers in the area by conducting due diligence and driving the overall project plan. He/She will also work to establish the key supply chain processes, team required to run the new distribution center and organize the transition of flow from the old location to the new one.</p> <p>The SLM plans and manage importation, organize the storage and distribution of goods, liaise with multiple stakeholders including retail merchandising, e-commerce and stores. He/She defines and follow up with daily replenishment of the Singapore stores and e-commerce orders fulfillment.</p> <p>Having awareness and being able to strategically response to external influences, such as legislation, costs and environmental pressures are key to the role. The role may involve transportation, stock control, warehousing and ensuring structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials.</p> <p>Finally, the SLM ensures that supply chain and logistics are key enablers for omni-channel success and development of new services. He/She must ensure that the distribution center structure, processes, and IT systems support the Group strategy by hosting existing services and planning the future ones including, facilitating personalized fulfillment options and having green services initiative.</p>

Main responsibilities


<p><strong>1. Logistics relocation project management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of estimates for the new Distribution Center project</li> <li>Lead the project in planning the successful execution of tasks on time and within budget</li> <li>Manage equipment procurement in collaboration with 3PL</li> <li>Regularly visit project site and monitors quality, security, costs and risk management according to company standards, insurance requirements and schedule</li> <li>Guide on technical aspect and liaise with functional teams for problem solving. (eg, stores, e-commerce, operations,etc.)</li> <li>Coordinate with Regional IT to ensure a proper integration of our legacy supply chain system and 3PL Warehouse Management System (WMS)</li> </ul> <p><strong>2. Logistics management in 3PL Distribution Center</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Incoming flows:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Ensure a smooth and efficient importation process of goods coming from Paris</li> <li>Coordinate with customs broker to ensure smooth process of customs declaration and commodity inspection</li> <li>Coordinate with lab for lab test report where applicable</li> <li>Supervise and coordinate operational activities for all shipments to the local third-party Distribution Center through: <ul> <li>Monitor quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movements and storage of goods through appropriate KPIs.</li> <li>Allocating and managing staff resources according to the evolution of the needs.</li> <li>Setting clear objectives and measurables, analyzing logistical problems and producing solutions.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Co-ordinate with other department and customer to solve issue and perform special occasion</li> <li>Manage claims</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Outgoing flows to Singapore stores & e-store customers:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Monitor the daily run of cross-channel fulfillment options: <ul> <li>Daily replenishment of the 3 Singapore stores</li> <li>Direct e-commerce orders fulfillment with picking, packing and shipping of goods</li> <li>Manage transfers from store to store</li> </ul> </li> <li>Liaise with the Singapore stores, e-store and 3PL to improve the outgoing flows by adapting frequency or defining new shipping methods</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. Other services and value-added tasks located in the Distribution Center (current and future)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and implement personalized value-added tasks on products that will be done on site. Such as: stamping and final assembling our adjustments</li> <li>Ensure there is structure, process and IT system support for the omni-channel services with seamless product flow between e-commerce stock and physical stores stock</li> <li>Prepare the appropriate inventory for public and staff sales</li> <li>Help the Subsidiary and the Region in improving the end of life cycle of products</li> <li>Plan the deployment of future services impacting the logistic with the local and regional Operations departments</li> </ul> <p><strong>4. General topics</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure security and safety measures in the DC and in the different flows are in line with local regulations, requirements of our Insurance company and Group security policies</li> <li>Regularly audit the security and safety measures and process adherence to Group policies</li> <li>Ensure CSR initiatives are implemented in the DC to reduce carbon footprint of our logistic activities</li> <li>Ensure the logistic strategy revolves around our values: spirit of conquest, creativity, craftsmanship, quality, authenticity and independence</li> </ul>

Profile


<ul> <li>Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related disciplines</li> <li>At least 10 year’s relevant experience in logistics and warehouse management</li> <li>Good knowledge in export/import transportation, customs clearance, and service to retail activities</li> <li>Good interpersonal and communication skill, fluent in English and Mandarin</li> <li>Proficient in using Microsoft Office MS Word, Excel and Power Point. WMS will be a plus</li> <li>Able to work under pressure with the aptitude to work logically and systematically</li> <li>Takes initiative for problem solving and decision making while offering creative solutions</li> <li>Coordinate effectively and proficiently with internal stakeholders and general contractors in a manner that achieves a collaborative environment with winning results</li> <li>A team player who is result-oriented, self-motivated and have a positive mindset.</li> </ul>
